Shockingly, the Supreme Court is not going to take the Obama is not a U.S. citizen case. What a dumb conspiracy theory this is, it seems like nothing more that an alliance between people that are pro-conspiracy theory and those that are simply anti-Barack Obama (and blind to evidence of course). I have yet to write about it, but this birth certificate obsession always seemed to be on par with Andrew Sullivan’s relentless questioning of Sara Palin’s daughter’s true birth mother. Sullivan is usually excellent which made this topic so frustrating to read about on his blog.
Anyways, Patrick Appel has been writing interesting stuff on the topic today at Andrew Sullivan’s blog.
I don’t think there is a conspiracy theory in either case, but for a moment assume it is. Palin’s daughter is actually her granddaughter. Barack Obama was born a British subject. Would either being true really matter? One is personal business and the other is irrelevant to running the country. So…who cares?
